What I don't do
I don’t create online maps using Google Maps or other similar software, such as store locator maps on websites, or the kind of interactive maps you might use to plan a trip or analyze election results. Why?
- There is still a need for printed publications, and digital online mappers don’t know how to do that. They are completely different skills.
- There are plenty of people doing that already, and I’m not interested in doing it.
Why you should hire me
- I have over 25 years of experience in map design, publishing, and graphic design, so I can handle your project from initial concept through final execution.
- I’ll work closely with you to determine your exact needs, both in the information to be conveyed and the visual style.
- If your project needs additional research, I can do that.
- I’m a one-person operation, so I don’t have the high overhead of other companies, meaning lower costs for you.
- I won’t bore you with a lot of cartography jargon; that’s for me to worry about.
- I speak the same language as printers, so I can work directly with them to ensure that the final product is perfect.
